I keep telling myself that I need to read more short stories and it’s impossible to resist a double dog dare like this. I’ll definitely give it a go.

Hi Patti,
After ripping the last page of the 2011 calendar, a year of great emotional family struggle that is still ongoing (the Surrogate Court battle for my 11 year old nephew), I decided to make a New Year’s resolution to regain my writing/reading life that was suffering as a result. I’ve been reading every day since 1/1, although I’m including novels, too. This will be an added incentive to keep to it. I’m afraid I may fall short of logging in every day, but it won’t mean I’m not reading; however, I’ll try to incorporate it into the reading itself to complete the task. It’s an awesome challenge ~ which is a direct correlation to learning or improving one’s own craft. You can’t write well if you don’t read.
My name is Kathleen A. Ryan
My username could be katcop13, or KathleenARyan, whatever’s easier for you.
Thanks for being the generous, talented soul you are, Patti! You’re an inspiration to us all. Thanks for offering a terrific way to keep on top of it.
I’m reading AHMM & EQMM, & have been buying e-book collections, too.
The last few I’ve read: Mr. Monk and The Open House by Lee Goldberg; Unexpected Truths by Robert S. Levinson; No Uncertain Terms by CJ Harper, The Home of the Brave by Lou Manfredo. I completed a novel based on a true crime, THE GIRL NEXT DOOR by Jack Ketchum.
I’m using Jerry Seinfeld’s Productivity Secret to help me out..

One part of the X is for reading, the other part of the X is for writing!
Good luck to all Stories for 365 participants! Happy Reading & learning!
