“The Lover” by James Wood

Story 235/366

Wood left the world of advertising and now writes full time. He’s had more than 200 stories published worldwide. This is a piece of horror flash but its power comes from a Robert Browning poem and it you don’t know the poem, you don’t know what’s coming, although you will be tremendously unsettled. I couldn’t find a photo of James Wood (there’s another one who is a well-known journalist/novelist), so that’s a picture of Robert Browning. You can read the story at East of the Web.

See you tomorrow!
