“On Seeing the 100% Perfect Gor One Beautiful April Morning” by Haruki Murakami
“On Seeing the 100% Perfect Girl One Beautiful April Morning” by Haruki Murakami
I first came across Murakami when a client had me read Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World, which I loved. I haven’t read his new book, IQ84, but it’s on my TBR bookcase. This is a playful story about a brief encounter and what might have been. It contains a strange reference to “the young D.H. Lawrence’s piggy bank” which I don’t get unless it’s an oblique reference to “The Rocking Horse Winner.” You can read Murakami’s story here.
See you tomorrow!
