A chapbook of this story was published by Crippen & Landru and distributed to attendees of the 2012 Malice Domestic mystery convention.

In the middle of a nice neighborhood where all the houses look similar and the streets are set in a nice grid sits a house taking up two lots. It drives Adrian Monk crazy and keeps distracting him from the murder he’s to investigate in the house next door. One of the other police officers thinks she has the case all sewn up, but we know Monk will have an insight that no one else will, based upon his neuroses, which will enable him to truly solve the case.
