“Indirection in Wait” by Kieran Shea
Story 100/366
I miss ThugLit but I know from experience how editing and publishing a magazine can take over your life. I love Kieran Shea’s work. This story begins with a description of a man wrapped up and bleeding in some orange shag rug like “a grotesque enchilada.” Things get better from there—for the readers but not the characters. “Indirection in Wait” originally appeared in ThugLit #37, the last one published before they took their “indefinite hiatus.”
See you tomorrow!
