A woman with multiple stab wounds is pulled from the Hudson River. She proceeds to bleed out on the dock. A pair of detectives are on the case, one who apparently likes short cuts and is willing to pin the death on the first suspect to come along — a homeless man. The other detective is willing to dig deeper to make sure the true guilty party is identified. Guess who catches the real killer. This could have been a Law & Order episode.
