Fox Spirit Books sponsored a short story contest inspired by International Talk Like a Pirate Day. This was one of the winning entries you can read at their site. It’s a tale of Anne the Bone and Red Johnny Bootleg, as incompetent a pirate as ever sailed the seven seas. This was a lot of fun and it looked like Yates had a blast writing it. She also has a story coming up in Weird Noir.
