A short story a day review

by Patti Abbott

An artist demands perfection from his muse at any cost–to her.

The List by Kat Fast

by Barb Goffman

184/366 from the anthology Deadfall (Level Best Books 2008)

Just because you’re elderly doesn’t mean you’re senile. One elderly lady takes steps to get revenge against her step-daughter, who’s been stealing her step-mother’s jewelry and trying to make her step-mother think she simply forgot that the jewelry had been given as gifts. (In my perfect world, the revenge would have been far, far worse, but I still like the sentiment here.)
