I first encountered Tim Pratt as T.A. Pratt, the author of Blood Engines, and other novels about a sorceress named Marla Mason. I like those books very much. I stumbled across “Incubus” by accident while tracking down another story. It’s a story about a very special couple of friends. You can listen to the story on PodCastle here.
