Today is my younger brother’s birthday so I went looking for a story about a brother and this is what I came up with. It kind of reminded me of Judge Dredd—a story of a future in which law and order is in the hands of machines. I’m not actually a huge fan of Mosley’s non-crime fic, but this is an intriguing story. It was made into an episode of the Masters of Science Fiction series, which I never saw. The story was published in Futureland, an anthology of dystopian sf published in 2001. It’s available for kindle and also used.
